Schneider Electric Kenya Appoints Ifeanyi Odoh as the new Country President

Schneider Electric Kenya has named Ifeanyi Odoh as its new Country President, succeeding Carol Koecht.

He joins Schneider Electric Kenya from South East Asia, where he served as the Strategy and Transformation Leader, overseeing operations in Vietnam and Cambodia.

His responsibilities included leading strategic initiatives and driving transformative change within the organization.

Before his time in South East Asia, Ifeanyi Odoh held significant roles within Schneider Electric, including Head of Offer Marketing & Business Development in Anglophone West Africa.

In this position, he played a critical role in developing and executing go-to-market strategies for Schneider Electric’s products, software, and services in the region.

Ifeanyi Odoh’s professional journey began in France, where he started as a Research Engineer in the Strategy and Innovation department at Schneider Electric.

His early experiences laid the groundwork for his subsequent career growth and leadership roles within the company.

In addition to his corporate achievements, Ifeanyi Odoh has also been recognized for his contributions to academia and research.

He has been involved in various research projects focusing on geological and geochemical studies, earning grants and awards for his work in Nigeria.

Odoh also served as Secretary to Ebonyi State Government from May 2015 to April 2018. This experience in government administration further honed his leadership and organizational skills, which he now brings to his new role as Country President.

The appointment of Ifeanyi Odoh as the new Country President of Schneider Electric Kenya has been met with enthusiasm from the company’s leadership.

Devan Pillay, Anglophone Africa Cluster President at Schneider Electric, expressed confidence in Ifeanyi’s ability to drive sustainable growth and innovation in the region.

Carol Koech, the outgoing Country President, will be taking on a new role, leading Sustainability Strategy for Schneider Electric in International Operations.

Carol’s contributions to Schneider Electric Kenya over the past three years have been acknowledged and appreciated by the company’s leadership.

“During her tenure as the Country President, we made significant strides in streamlining operational excellence, and Carol’s steadfast leadership has been crucial to strengthening our foundation and positioning the company for our next growth phase,” stated Devan Pillay.

In his statement regarding his appointment, Ifeanyi Odoh expressed his excitement about leading Schneider Electric Kenya.

He emphasized the company’s strong brand presence, talented team, and immense growth opportunities in East Africa.

Ifeanyi outlined his vision to not only enhance business performance but also to establish new energy concepts and impact entrepreneurship initiatives in the region.

“I will be focused on working with the local team to deliver not just a step-up in business performance, but I will also look to establishing New Energy Concepts and Impact Entrepreneurship initiatives in the region,” read part of his statement.
