
The Commercial International Bank (CIB), in collaboration with the Kenya Bankers Association (KBA), has launched a new cohort of the CIB East Africa Credit Analyst Program. This initiative aims to develop young professionals in Kenya’s banking and finance sectors, equipping them with essential skills and practical experience to navigate both local and global financial markets.
A Legacy of Excellence
The CIB East Africa Credit Analyst Program builds on a rich 30-year legacy established by CIB Egypt. The program has already produced 39 successful graduates across its two trial cohorts in 2020 and 2023. This fully sponsored initiative provides an immersive learning experience, ensuring participants gain industry-relevant skills and hands-on exposure to the banking sector.
Program Overview
The program employs a hybrid learning model, incorporating both virtual and in-person sessions. Key details include:
- Duration: 3-4 months
- Delivery Mode: Hybrid (majority virtual, with some in-person engagements)
- Schedule: Weekdays (after working hours) and weekends
- Technical Focus: Core credit concepts and real-world applications

Eligibility Criteria
The program is open to Kenyan graduates who meet the following requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or Economics
- Age Range: 22-29 years
- Experience: 0-2 years (fresh graduates encouraged to apply)
- Language Proficiency: Strong command of English (verbal and written)
- Location: Must be a resident of Nairobi, Kenya
- Industry Awareness: Knowledge of the banking sector is an added advantage
- Inclusivity: Open to all genders, with special emphasis on female graduates and individuals with physical disabilities
