NCBA Bank Appoints Georgina Mukami Odhiambo as Head of IT Retail Banking

NCBA Bank has appointed Georgina Mukami Odhiambo as the new Head of IT Retail Banking. Georgina Mukami, who holds an Information Technology degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), brings a wealth of expertise to her role.

Georgina has more than 15 years of extensive experience in the banking sector, with her career marked by significant achievements and contributions to various institutions. She previously worked at the National Bank of Kenya, where she served in several key roles, including as the Head of ICT Channels Operations. In this role, she managed operations, business analysis, and project management.

In her capacity as Head Enterprise Services, she ensured the delivery of ICT services to internal customers, enforcing service level agreements and adhering to software lifecycles and contractual obligations. She also led the Frontline Channel Support team as Head of Frontline Channels in the ICT Division, ensuring the smooth running of the department and maintaining quality targets.

Georgina also served as Support Manager for Corporate Banking Channels, coordinating support for corporate channels, including internet banking and SWIFT for both local and international payments.

Earlier in her career, Georgina was an E-Channels Supervisor Officer at the Co-operative Bank of Kenya, where she analyzed and implemented e-banking business requirements. She supervised the administration and support of all e-channels business, including internet and mobile banking, and monitored e-channels systems’ performance to maintain agreed service delivery levels.

Beyond her banking roles, Georgina is a Service Delivery Ambassador with over 12 years of experience managing multifaceted projects across various functions within bank operations. She has experience in product development and evaluating technologies such as RPA, data analytics, and productivity tools. As a Prince2-certified project manager, she excels in coordinating projects, leading teams, and building effective relationships across organizations.

Georgina’s diverse roles and accomplishments highlight her capability in managing and enhancing IT and banking systems, making her a valuable asset to NCBA. As the Head of IT Retail Banking, she will be instrumental in driving the bank’s digital transformation and enhancing customer experiences through innovative IT solutions.
