NCBA Group has launched PropertyDuka, an AI-powered digital property marketplace designed to simplify the property ownership journey by bringing together property discovery, financing, insurance, construction and home-related services within a single platform.
The platform, operated by NCBA Leasing LLP, a subsidiary of NCBA Group PLC, is positioned as East Africa’s first AI-native property ecosystem. It is designed to support individuals, families, property developers, investors and service providers by integrating multiple stages of the property journey into one digital marketplace.
Platform Combines Property Search With Financial Services
PropertyDuka enables users to search for residential and commercial properties across Kenya. Buyers and renters can browse homes, apartments, land and commercial properties available for sale, rent or auction using filters such as location, property type and price range.
Each property listing includes photographs, pricing, location details, property features and estimated monthly mortgage repayments. These details are intended to help prospective buyers compare properties and make informed decisions before submitting enquiries.
The platform also integrates financial planning tools into the property search process. Users can access mortgage and construction loan calculators that estimate monthly repayments based on factors including property value, down payment, employment status, age and loan tenure.
In addition to repayment calculators, PropertyDuka connects users with financing products such as mortgages, construction financing, home insurance, personal loans and solar financing, allowing customers to evaluate financing options while searching for property.
AI Assistant Supports Property Discovery
A key feature of the NCBA’s PropertyDuka is PropwizAI, an artificial intelligence-powered property assistant that provides personalized property recommendations through an interactive chat interface.
The AI assistant helps users identify suitable properties, obtain pricing guidance and access property-related information without manually browsing large volumes of listings. The feature is designed to streamline property discovery by matching user requirements with available listings.
NCBA Positions Platform as Complete Property Ecosystem
NCBA said the platform extends beyond property buying and renting by incorporating services that support construction, home improvement and property ownership.
PropertyDuka includes sections for building materials, home furnishing products and professional services such as real estate agents, surveyors, valuers, mortgage advisers, architects and legal professionals. While some service categories are still being expanded, the platform aims to provide end-to-end support throughout the property ownership lifecycle.
The marketplace also allows property owners, developers and service providers to market their offerings directly to prospective customers. Sellers can advertise residential and commercial properties, auction assets, promote building materials or register professional services, creating a digital marketplace connecting buyers with property-related businesses.
PropertyDuka also includes verification features intended to improve trust in online property transactions. According to the platform’s FAQ section, eligible sellers can receive an NCBA Verified Seller badge after verification. Users can also submit enquiries directly through the platform, connect with verified agents, landlords and property owners, and report suspicious or fraudulent listings.
NCBA Says Platform Supports Customers Throughout Property Journey
Speaking during the launch, James Gossip, Managing Director of NCBA Bank Kenya, said the bank aims to support customers from the earliest stages of their property ambitions.
“At NCBA, we believe great journeys begin long before a loan application is submitted. We believe in our customers’ ambitions from the moment an idea is born, because when people have the confidence to pursue their dreams, progress becomes possible. At NCBA, we don’t just finance properties. We back the people, dreams, and ambitions behind them.”
During the launch, Lennox Mugambi, Group Director of Asset Finance and Business Solutions, and Dennis Njau, Group Director of Retail Banking, said customers require more than a standalone property platform. They said the objective is to provide an integrated ecosystem that reduces friction, builds trust and supports every stage of the property journey.
According to NCBA, PropertyDuka is designed to support customers whether they are searching for their first rental home, building a family residence or expanding a property investment portfolio. The bank said the platform aligns with its objective of creating digital ecosystems that connect financing with practical services while supporting individuals, businesses and broader economic activity.
