Safaricom PLC has rolled out the Pata More Campaign, a nationwide rewards and value initiative aimed at giving Kenyan consumers and small businesses more value across mobile data, M-PESA, transport services, fibre and smartphones.
Launched in late July 2026, the Safaricom Pata More Campaign comes as households and micro-businesses continue to face pressure from the rising cost of goods and services.
The campaign increases data allocations on selected bundles without raising their prices, reduces some M-PESA transaction costs and adds benefits to services used by drivers, households, SMEs and smartphone customers.
Safaricom has structured the initiative across several parts of its consumer and business ecosystem, allowing customers to receive additional value depending on the services they use.
More Data at the Same Price
Safaricom has increased the data allocations on some of its popular mobile bundles without changing their prices. The KSh 20 daily bundle now provides 250MB, up from 150MB, with the allocation valid for 24 hours.
The KSh 99 daily bundle has also been increased from 1GB to 1.5GB, while the KSh 1,000 monthly bundle now offers 21.5GB, up from 10GB. The monthly package therefore provides more than twice the previous data allocation at the same price.
Lower M-PESA Costs for Small Transactions
The Safaricom Pata More Campaign also changes transaction charges for customers and merchants using M-PESA business services.
Under Pochi Kadogo, customers sending money to a Pochi la Biashara vendor pay no transaction fee for amounts of up to KSh 200. The previous threshold was KSh 100. For transactions above KSh 200 made directly through a Pochi wallet, the transaction fee is capped at KSh 50, compared with previous charges that could reach KSh 108.
Safaricom has also increased the threshold for Buy Goods Kadogo transactions. Customers paying merchants through a standard M-PESA Business Till now attract zero collection fees for transactions of up to KSh 500, up from KSh 200.
The campaign further cuts charges for merchants transferring money out of their Business Tills. Transactions between KSh 50 and KSh 100 now cost KSh 8, down from KSh 11, while transactions between KSh 101 and KSh 500 cost KSh 18, down from KSh 29.
Business Services Linked to Credit and Savings
The Pata More business offers also connect merchants to additional financial and connectivity services. Pochi la Biashara users can access business-focused services including Fuliza Biashara, specialised data bundles such as Ofa ya Pochi and Zidisha, and savings and investment products including Ziidi Pochi.
Business Till users can similarly access services designed to support their business operations and financial management.
Safaricom Adds Offers for Drivers and Boda Boda Riders
The campaign extends to Kenya’s transport sector through packages designed for taxi drivers and motorcycle riders. The Bundle ya Dereva/Boda packages combine communication services with data intended for daily transport operations.
One of the main benefits is complimentary access to ride-hailing driver applications and Google Maps, allowing drivers to use essential navigation and work applications without consuming their main data allocation.
The packages also include Tuunza Mapato insurance, providing income-protection benefits for drivers against certain unexpected disruptions and emergencies.
Home Fibre Customers Get Higher Speeds
Safaricom has also included its fixed connectivity services in the Pata More Campaign. Existing Safaricom Home Fibre customers can receive browsing and streaming speeds of up to 2.5 times faster across selected monthly payment tiers.
The upgraded offering also includes additional family entertainment and connectivity options, giving households more capacity for activities such as streaming, online learning and remote work.
Smartphone Financing Comes With Extra Benefits
The campaign also targets customers looking to acquire smartphones through financing. Selected smartphone financing options, including the Neon Ultra 2, are available from KSh 55 per day and come with additional promotional benefits.
Depending on the offer, customers receive daily voice minutes and data allocations together with free device insurance.
